Digitizing Time-Keeping for Plant Workers and HR
Led the design of a digital time-keeping app for plant workers and HR, replacing slow paper-based processes. Drove user research and usability testing to deliver an intuitive solution that streamlined transactions, reduced errors, and scaled into a mobile platform integrated with SAP.

Pain points: Time entries, leaves, and approvals were managed through a slow, error-prone paper-based process. This caused delays for plant workers and an administrative burden for supervisors and HR.
Target users / stakeholders: Plant workers (creating transactions), supervisors (approving records), and HR (monitoring accuracy and compliance).
Impact: Productivity suffered due to inefficiencies, and errors often required manual correction, wasting both worker and HR time. -
A digital time-keeping application, later extended to mobile, that allowed workers to record time and leaves electronically, while supervisors could approve records through the app or as an alternative in SAP.
-
A centralized HR platform consolidating multiple employee tools into one interface, including:
Leave management
Employee master data management
Organizational hierarchy management
Digital onboarding

The team partnered with plant managers and HR to map out workflows and pain points. Early user interviews revealed the need for a faster, error-free process for both workers and supervisors. Wireframes were created and tested directly with plant workers in multiple iterations, refining the design based on usability feedback. The final product was an intuitive app that digitized all time-keeping tasks, reduced paperwork, and made approvals seamless. As adoption grew, the app evolved into a mobile platform, offering flexibility for both workers and supervisors while integrating approvals with SAP.
