An application was created to digitize time-keeping for both Plant workers and HR, enabling them to record and file time-keeping and leaves electronically, thereby replacing the outdated paper-based process. Over time, this app evolved into a mobile application that also served as an alternative method for approving records in SAP. Throughout the development process, User Research and Usability testing were conducted to ensure the app's user interface (UI) was effectively designed.

Over time, this app evolved into a mobile application that also served as an alternative method for approving records in SAP. Throughout the development process, User Research and Usability testing were conducted to ensure the app's user interface (UI) was effectively designed.
It all began when the plant worker managers approached our team, seeking a solution to the slow and cumbersome process of paper filing for leaves, time entries, and other time-keeping transactions. Recognizing the need for a more efficient system, we collaborated with the managers to devise a plan: digitizing the entire process through a dedicated platform and accompanying app.
To ensure we understood the users' needs, the UX team embarked on a series of initial interviews. We spoke with both the plant workers, who were responsible for creating the transactions, and the plant worker supervisors, tasked with approving these transactions. Through these interviews, we were able to gain valuable insights into the pain points experienced by both user groups.
Equipped with this knowledge, we set out to create an initial wireframe for the app. With the wireframe in hand, we conducted usability testing sessions with the plant workers. This iterative process allowed us to gather feedback and make improvements, refining the wireframe three more times before finalizing the UI design.
Once the UI design was solidified, we proceeded to bring it to life. We worked diligently to develop and implement the user interface, ensuring that it was intuitive, user-friendly, and met the specific requirements identified during the initial interviews and testing phases.
